Brace Yourself for The BIG Stampede

In the summer of 2017 a herd of safari animals invaded Hamilton as part of The BIG Stampede!

The BIG Stampede is a Wild in Art event bringing businesses, artists and schools together to create a spectacular world-class sculpture trail through the streets, parks and open spaces of Hamilton and the surrounding areas.

From 23 June to 3 September 2017  a herd of elephants, tower of giraffes, pride of lions, band of gorillas and crash of rhinos charged into town, each individually decorated by local professional artists and schools.

The large-scale free public art event showcased the artistic talent in the area and positively contributed to the economic, social and cultural life of the town.

Now it’s your chance to bid for your own incredible animal sculpture at the auction on 29 September and help Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity raise valuable funds.

At Hamilton BID we’re excited to be working in partnership with Wild in Art, the UK leader in the creation of public art events, to bring The BIG Stampede to town.
